    Hi!
Does All In One Wp Security have centralized network like iThemes and Wordfence?
    Thank you.

    Hi,

I don’t use iThemes or Wordfence? Can you elaborate further what you mean with your question?

    Thank you

    Hi!

In simple words, if someone is attacked, that bad traffic info is then used by the central server to block that traffic from attacking others who are in that network.

    Thanks.

Hi, our plugin does have a few options to block bad traffic and IP addresses. However I am too if it works in the same way iThemes or Wordfence does. Can you share the option or feature setting in either iThemes or Wordfence so that I can check myself. This will give me a better understanding of what you mean.

    Thank you

Well Wordfence, for example, has Firewall rules with a 30 day delay for free users, while iThemes offer that immediately as far as I know. The point is malicious traffic info is spread out through the whole network.

In iThemes the feature is called Network Brute Force Protection:
The Network Brute Force Protection module allows you to join a network of sites that reports and protects against bad actors on the internet.

    Hi,

The Network Brute Force Protection module allows you to join a network of sites that reports and protects against bad actors on the internet.

No, our plugin does not have anything similar to the above. However we do have Rename Login Page feature which is very important. We also have many Firewall rules plus other feature that truly protect your site from attacks. I think the best option is for you to install our plugin and after you have compared our plugin with the other two security plugins, you will be able to make a judgement call.

Let me know if you need more information.

    Kind regards

Hey, thank you for your reply.
I’m willing to try your plugin but I have some concerns though. Would you be able to address those?
    1. How does All In One WP Security behaves CPU consumption wise?
    2. Do I need your Firewall, if I already have NinjaFirewall installed?
    3. Isn’t Rename Login feature dangerous to use since it messes up with your files?

    Thank you.

Point 1: There are more than 800 thousand installs and none have reported issues regarding CPU usage.

Point 2: Our firewall does a great job and I don’t see a need in having two firewalls running together. However in saying this, if you truly need both running simultaneously, then make sure you don’t enable similar features in either one. They could conflict with one another.

Point 3: No, it is one of the best security options to implement straight away when running a WordPress site in my humble opinion. Of course it also depends on how your site is set up.

However, every hacker in this planet knows that WordPress uses wp-login.php and wp-admin.php files to access the site. So the question is. Does it make sense to rename these files since all the hackers know about them or keep using the standard name files? This should give you something to think about.

If you need more information or help, please let me know.

    Kind regards

I do agree with you that wp-admin is a vulnerable spot but renaming it might break those file connections that involve the initial name. I mean one could probably go through all of those connections but you’d probably need to be quite comfortable modifying those and be techie. I’m just a newb like many others.

    Hi,

I understand your concern. However if a site is running well with no issues and no conflicts the renaming process will work flawlessly. Also, you don’t have to enable this feature in our plugin if you don’t want.

    Kind regards
