Support » Fixing WordPress » Center my site in the browser

  • I need to center my site. It is currently all the way to the left and I have tried everything from other posts with similar issues but it won’t work for me. I’m obviously very new to wordpress and need help. Thank you in advance! site is proteinbycreate.com

  • You have assigned most of your elements absolute positions via inline css. Example:

    <div style="background-color: #cccccc; height: 200px; width: 1350px; position: absolute; <strong>top: 515px; left: 0px;</strong>"></div>

    You have to either
    1. Re-do the absolute postions (bad, but it will work).
    2. Remove the inline css and use percentages and negative margins to center the page (good).

thank you for the prompt reply. If I do either of the options you outlined will it center the page in every browser? or will it be different for higher resolutions? Because right now it is perfect on a 15″ monitor and fills the whole screen but on anything larger it is left justified.
