• ok, i think i finally figure out how to change the size of feature image.

    but more problems appear…please help.

    1) how to center feature image in blog post and pages? now it’s smaller and fit the screen but they all on left hand side. how to make it in the center of the screen? now its awkward to see words are in the center but the pictures are on the left hand side.

    2) i write excerpt for each post and want to show the blog pages only the exerpt (not full post) so people don’t need to scroll the whole screen to see other post. but there’s no “read more” in excerpt. how to put a “read more” link to the end of excerpt so when people click the link they will see the original single post?

i’ve searched around for hours and copy and paste different code suggested, still not working. please help. thanks

  • Hi vivianng,

    To answer your questions …

    (1) This may be possible to effect via your theme (from within the WordPress dashboard), or you may need to add some custom CSS. Can you (a) provide a link to your site? And, (b), have you contacted the theme developers to ask about this issue?

    (2) Again, that may be possible depending on the theme and how it’s made. What theme are you running? Have you contacted the theme developer for support?

Thanks for your prompt reply, Liam.

    (1) i assume just need to add some css ? my site savvyconvert.com

    2) i am using generatePress, i used to use sydney theme but it took ages to load because the theme has too many css javascript, then i changed to this theme, though without too many options but load very fast. i just need to tweak some of the feauturs.

the support only for premium members, i am using the free one so i was asked to get help from here.

I already changed some of the appearance by coping some codes i found online, but still have some other small issues need to tweak. e.g. feature images are on the left hand side. the feature images used to center but because i am using full width blog post setting, the image is SO HUGE that block the whole screen, so i spent hours and finally figue out i can adjust the featue image side inside the media settings. but now they are all align in the left.

also the excerpt … it’s ok have excerpt but without the “read more” so people assume that’s all for the post.

See if you can help me to figure these out. thanks a lot. i don’t know much about css or html …just happened i found some advices from time to time regarding my problems so i copy and paste the code developers suggested. it works fine but still can’t find the right asnwers for these 2.
