Center Custom Header

    @betsycrocker

    I am new to CSS and am having a hard time figuring out two seemingly simple things.

    1. Center custom header
    2. Remove “search for” text above search box

    I have scoured the internet and tried a bunch of “suggestions” and nothing worked. I’m hoping one of you guys can help.

    Thanks!

    The blog I need help with is betsycrocker.com.

    [No bumping. If it’s that urgent, consider hiring someone.]

  • You should create a Child theme to make your changes. If you do not, all of your changes will be lost if you update your theme.

    Try adding this to the end of your child theme’s style.css:

    #header { background-position: -10% top !important; }

    How do I go about making a child theme? I apologize if this is a silly question. I am a total newbe when it comes to CSS and coding.

    Follow the link I gave above to the Child theme article in the Codex.

    You can also do a Google search for tutorials.
