Support » Plugin: JTRT Responsive Tables » Cell inserted image not displaying in table in Firefox

  • Resolved NetMonkey

    First I’d like to say that this is a handy plugin. I’ve gotten up to speed using things, but am having a quirky problem. I have a Windows 10 64-bit machine, 8gb ram, and my browser is — Firefox ver. 51.0.1 (64-bit).

    In design/edit mode I’m able to select an image to insert into a cell, but when I do, it gets enlarged considerably. The image is just a check mark that’s 26x29px. But once inserted it looks like it’s 76x79px.

    And when the table is being loaded on the page the shortcode is on, the image appears for only a second then disappears from view in the cell. When in design/edit mode the oversized image is in the cell and the value has the correct url for the image.

    Any idea what could be causing this strange behavior?

    Hello @headmonkey

    Yes, I know why this is happening. The default styling for images inside cells is 100% width, when you insert your image, add some custom styles to the code. For example, when you insert your image, the cell data should be something like this:

    <img src="linktoimage.jpg" alt="myalttext">

    simply add some styling to this image tag to get the desired height/width:
    <img src="linktoimage.jpg" alt="myalttext" style="width:26px;height:29px;">

    Let me know if this helps.

    Also as for the front-end with the picture disappearing, are you using the “hide columns” responsive option? If so, then you have to set the column type of the image to be “html”, you can do that in the same edit box when applying breakpoints to your cells.

    Let me know if this helps or if you require more help.

    Thanks for using my plugin!

    Thanks for the tips John. With the right css styling code there now and a change to responsive display type, all’s good now! Call this one resolved!
