    Hi:

I’m using a plugin that automatically select the first external image in the post as featured image. It works a 90% of times, but sometimes it can’t extract some url.
So I installed your plugin to paste directly the url.
Your plugin works fine, but the thumbnail images showed can’t be cached by my CDN in extranoticias.r.worldssl.net

    Could you suggest something?

    Best regards,
    Javier.

    Hi,

Unfortunately, the external url you use doesn’t generate thumbnails.

The plugin is especially useful for images from external repositories, like Amazon S3, you could see if your service offers you a url that is already in cache.

    Best regards,
    Jhon,

    Thanks for the fast reply.
All url that I used with your plugin generates thumbnails all the time, the only bug is all of them, can’t be captured by my pull cache service.

An image url that was catched by my CDN service (using with the other plugin), fails to be catched with yours, like this, for example:
    https://comohacerpara.com/imgn/03644-escribir-rapido-computadora.jpg

May be the other plugin is calling the images in other way?

    Best Regards,
    Javier.

    Hi,

I’m quite sure that the plugin doesn’t generate any thumbnail, it’s posible that you already has a featured image assigned to your entry.

    Try with a new entry.

    Hi:
By saying “generate thumbnail” I was referring to the plugin displaying a featured image correctly, I’m sorry for that vagueness.

If you inspect in my page, a news image with some birds, you can see the image has a “external-img” class to individualize the use of your plugin. And you will found out too, that all the images with that class is not cached by my CDN.

That’s my question or may be a suggestion for a future update.

    Thank you.
