    Hi, I recently switched my site from wordpress.com to wordpress.org and I have a question about my website template Custom Community. When looking at my sites Page Source I noticed there was a huge block of html text and I wanted to know for all the users who utilize custom community is there a way to delete this text without it effectively my website, because I think it may be effecting my sites seo.

    This is how the code starts..

    </style>
    <style type=”text/css” title=”here they are”>div{}body.activity-permalink {min-width: 100%;max-width: 100%;}

    Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    Hi WhimsicalWildfox,

    to have the styles just thrown in the head will not affect your google ranking, believe me! I investigated a lot and big sites are doing it like this as well.

    It’s simply for increasing your page speed.

    And Google knows about things like this and wont say:
    “Oh gosh, look at him, there are styles in his head, i will rank him down haha” 😉

    thats just my 2 cents..
