    Hi
Google Adsense is giving me a warning that it is necessary to add a snippet (given at adsense support) to adjust for the CCPA for California public. I have the snippet but don’t know exactly where to paste it. Does Advanced adds plugin have settings that allow to do this? Google Adsense support gives 2 options to do this, both of them include lines of code to paste on the site. Where can this be done on a wordpress site? thanks

    Hi fatimajesus,

thanks for reaching out and your valid question.

There are multiple options to implement the CCPA requirements. The simplest is to just enable Restrict data processing for visitors from California in the AdSense account. No coding needed.

You can find that option in your AdSense account under Blocking Controls > Content > All Sites > California Consumer Privacy Act.

You can also send information about this with each ad code, but then would need to get the location of every user to ask for permission to show non-restricted ads from Californian visitors only. I am happy to help implementing that but don’t think that most publishers should get into such complicated setups.

Let me know if that makes sense.

    Best regards,
    Thomas

Hi think I know what you are saying but some days ago I did restrict and saved that option but Google kept asking me again to take measures. I did it again now, but I only hope that this time is going to work.
    Thanks

    Hi fatimajesus,

    thanks for your feedback.

Did you set that option for all websites? AdSense shows general warnings also when only one site has an issue. It is also known that they don’t check if issues are resolved quickly so it might take sometimes days or weeks until a warning is removed automatically.

    Best regards,
    Thomas

Thanks for your reply. Indeed I did select all sites. Today the warning is still there but the option to save is not active anymore, so, I hope it is solved.
Thank you and Happy New Year
