We are finalizing development, so it isn’t public right now.
The client needs to have this issue resolved though before tomorrow. So, I would be happy to give you access privately and help us resolve it.

My email address is in wp-topbar.php
I can look at it now…

Ok .. you have the Delay and SlideDown set to 0. Try setting the delay to 500ms. That allows the page to load then the TopBar will appear 1/2 second later.
Bob
Thanks. I just tried it and it doesn’t help. It’s because of the page loading first, then the topbar loading after, that is then pushing down all the page contents.

Ah.. you don’t want the page pushed down.
Go to “Main Options” set “Force TopBar to Be Fixed On Top of Page” to NO
That will overlay the top of your webpage with the TopBar.
Bob
It would seem better even, if the topbar loaded first, then the page. Or at least cached so that it didn’t have to reload every time.

That would be a re-write of how the plugin works.
FYI-The TopBar is cacheable so that if you are using a caching plugin, it will load the cached version of the plugin.
Sorry this isn’t meeting your needs.

I do have Topbar “Force…” set to NO. And, the main reason I did that was because it would overlay the little sticky nav that appears when scrolling.
Is the pushing down of the page something that normally happens?

You have the choice of overlaying the top of the webpage or pushing it down. If you overlay, you need to make sure you have “clean space” at the top of your page to handle the height of the TopBar.
Most sites push down the TopBar – hence that is the default.
Most sites have a delay of a few seconds, to draw attention to the TopBar.
