  • 1)I want to use near about 100 themes for my multisite installation. I will categorise the folders under wp-content/themes (for my understanding and to avoid confusion for my self) .

    Ex :

    For main theme files
    wp-content/themes/catgory1/themename
    wp-content/themes/catgory1/themename2

    wp-content/themes/catgory2/themename1
    wp-content/themes/catgory3/themename1

And the child themes for the same
    wp-content/themes/child-catgory1/themename
    wp-content/themes/child-catgory1/themename2
    wp-content/themes/child-catgory2/themename1
    wp-content/themes/child-catgory3/themename1

Does the categorization with in the the themes directory and number of themes and child themes causes any trouble in functionality or speed ?

2)And is there any choice to make the themes appear in same category wise under wp-admin–>appearance–>manage themes ? Does anybody have Idea on this?

    Thanks !

Wow. I wouldn’t think that would work at all, but if it does, rock on.

I just make sure to name them like this:

    /wp-content/themes/parent-theme1
                       parent-theme1-child1
                       parent-theme1-child2

    /wp-content/themes/parent-theme2
                       parent-theme2-child1
                       parent-theme2-child2
