# Category/taxonomy fields

 * Hey Eliot,
 * how do I get a taxonomies description? Here s my code:
 *     ```
       <table class="cat-header"><tr><td class="cat-icon"><i class="fa [each custom_icon] fa-fw"></i></td><td class="cat-heading"><h2>[each name]</h2></td></tr></table>
       [each description]...
       ```
   
 * custom_icon and name work perfectly. Description does not want to display, though.

 * Hello,
 * I checked this, and the taxonomy description is displaying on my end. It depends
   on what created the taxonomy and its fields, maybe the description is saved under
   a different field name. You can probably find it in the content overview (Dashboard-
   > Content) what fields are available for that taxonomy.
