# Category Widget Help

 * Hello,
    WP will allow me to add as many category widgets as I want and when doing
   so the edit drop down even allows you to name the title of each category widget.
 *  My question/need is how can I get specific categories to show up in these category
   widgets according to preference/relativity without ALL categories showing up 
   in ALL the category widgets I create?

 * The standard category widgets don’t allow you any filtering capability. Best 
   bet is to get [Otto’s php code widget](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/php-code-widget/)
   then use the [template tag](http://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Tags), [wp_list_categories()](http://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Tags/wp_list_categories),
   in the widget along with either the **include=** or **exclude=** parameter.

 * Michael, I thank you. I’ve been searching for an answer ( _any answer_ ) for 
   days now.
 * I will try the otto link and then go from there…sometimes we can’t always have
   what we want.
