 * hi, im using the default category widget .. i have my categories shown .. but
   when i click on any of them … only active events are showing …
 * how can i make it to show all event within that category in a descending order?

 * works for me, Have you tried to temporarily:
 * – deactivating all other plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this
   works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(
   s).
    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems
