    Hi,

First, want to say I love the look of this theme. Thank you to the developers for designing it.

    My issue:
When in category view the thumbs are not like the settings Ive chosen in wordpress. They are cropping the images n an odd manner.

Also the text is only an excerpt when Ive chosen full text for blog pages.

I’ve looked at the CSS and can’t figure out how to change the image dimensions.

I’m assuming the excerpt issue is a function change.

If anyone has any advice about how to make the category view be more standardized I’d appreciate it… even a plugin suggestion would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

I’ll also add that I’ve tried some excerpt plug-ins with no help.

    Hi there,

In category page, we defined the image size, so it is always 300x150px. Also you couldn’t use css to change that or make post show full content.

Please do the following here :

    1. Download and install the OnePress child theme.

    2. Create new template-parts/ in child theme directory.

    3. Copy pates this file into template-parts/ folder : http://snippi.com/s/7mgk11s

Now it will show full text and bigger image for Category page.

    Hi,

Thank you so much for the info. I’ll try out the steps.

BTW I’ve seen other posts about the child theme and people had a few quirks. I’ve always used the childify plugin and never had an issue with it.

Well – it almost worked… it shows the featured image in full size and then shows all of the article content including all of the remaining photos.

Thanks for trying to resolve it. Was only looking for the thumbnail and full text

    Is everything okay now ?

no – but thanks for asking.

The thumb image was too big and it included the content but not formatted correctly. I removed the template-parts folder for now. I did a lot of reading on codex – didn’t find the solution.

Does the pro version allow the use of normal thumbnail image sizes from wordpress.

    Hi,

You can replace the onepress-medium by one of WordPress thumbnail size you want.

    Thanks
I did do that… not sure why the content is odd but I edited it back to an excerpt. So it has the default wordpress thumb and the excerpt.

Thanks again for your help. The photos were being cropped in a bad place.
