Category using page.php template

    Hi,

    I am running WordPress Multisite and for some reason my category page is using the template of page.php

    I tried creating a new file called category-news.php (news is the slug), but it is not using that template or the standard category.php/archive.php

    Any ideas where I can look to see how this is happening?

    It seems that my theme is not recognizing the category-news.php file. How can I make the theme load this file?
