# Category URL Issue

 * Hello all,
 * Since I have switched to Thesis and it seems to have great SEO functionality,
   I decided to delete the plugin I had been using – WordPress SEO by Yoast.
 * As you may know, that plugin has a feature where you can remove the “category”
   part of the URLs for category pages. I had selected that feature.
 * With the plugin now removed, the category links widget on my website point to“
   [http://www.site.com/category/category_name&#8221](http://www.site.com/category/category_name&#8221);.
   Clicking on a category links sends you straight back to my home page. If I type“
   [http://www.site.com/category/category_name&#8221](http://www.site.com/category/category_name&#8221);
   directly into the address bar in my browser, it displays the category page.
 * So, it would appear that the plugin changed the location of all the category 
   pages, and did not change them back when it was deactivated.
 * How can I restore the default setting, so that my category widget links to the
   category pages, and doesnt redirect back to the homepage?
