# Category Title

 * Hi there I’m new to wordpress and am wondering how I can remove the category 
   title from being above my posts? I’ve tried looking at old support posts on the
   topic and trying different plugins but nothing has worked yet. Any suggestions
   would be very much appreciated!

   For instance when I go to recipes, lunch, salads, it Category: Salads above the
   post, which is what I don’t want.

 * You could hide it with some custom CSS. If your theme has a built-in custom CSS
   option, use it; otherwise, get a [custom CSS plugin](http://wordpress.org/plugins/search.php?q=custom+css)
   and try
 *     ```
       .article.category {
       display: none;
       }
       ```
