# Category template in evolve?

 * Hi all,
 * I’m looking for the category-template or “category.php” in the evolve theme. 
   Could anyone point me in the right direction?
 * The reason why: I’m trying to add a shortcode to add a masonry layout in all 
   category-pages. I’m using a child theme and am supposed to replace a loop in 
   the category.php/template with the shortcode only I can’t seem able to find the
   right one!
 * Does anyone know where I should be looking?
 * Thanks in advance!

 * the theme is using index.php for all thearchive pages;
    review [https://developer.wordpress.org/themes/basics/template-hierarchy/](https://developer.wordpress.org/themes/basics/template-hierarchy/)
 * create a copy of **index.php** from the parent theme and save it as **category.
   php** in the child theme, then edit it there.
