    Hi there,

I read the documentation carefully but I am affraid that I didn’t find the answer to my question.

I would like to have the different categories to have different filters / facets.

    For example;

-When browsing the “cars” category I would like to have filters for YEAR, FUEL TYPE, TRANSMISSION

-When browsing the “clothes” category I would like to have filters for SIZE, COLOR, STYLE

    Can this be done?

    Best regards
    Bas

    Hi @quokka

This can be achieved in a few ways also depending on how your theme is structured and what features it provides.

This assumes that you have the search forms addon.

    1) I would say the easiest way to achieve this is through widgets. If your theme provides a way to create sidebars for taxonomy pages you may use that functionality together with the facet shortcode in a text widget.

If your theme doesn’t provide a way to create custom widgets areas, you may use a third party plugin. There are many available here on wp.org.

    2) Alternatively if you’re using the Elementor plugin on your site, you can download the free Elementor addon we’ve built for Posterno and create a custom taxonomy page as explained here.

    Hope this helps šŸ™‚

Playing with the demo, another question pops up about custom fields…

    Let’s say I have 2 listing types:
    -Restaurants
    -Cinema’s

Restaurants needs a custom field called “Kitchen type”
Cinema’s needs a custom field “Screen width”

Playing with the demo version I found that custom fields are not listing type dependent. So no matter what listing type I want to submit, both custom fields are there in the submission form, right?

But I don’t want the people that submit a restaurant to be able to fill the “screen with” field, as it belongs to cinema’s listing type, not to restaurant listing type.

Is there a way to have a specific listing submission form for each listing type, showing / hiding special fields when needed for this listing type?

    Thanks again!

    Best regards,
    Bas
