Hello –

This is probably a rookie question so apologies in advance… in the settings one can define the category sort order by “term order”. So I’m wondering, how do you set each category’s term order?

This is kinda left over from the old version. Right now that option just sorts according to how you have the FAQ categories listed.

Is there a way then to do a custom sort order for categories?

One way I found was to set the FAQ category term-order using another plugin such as:

http://wordpress.org/plugins/taxonomy-terms-order/

After you set the term orders, then the setting FAQ Category sort order by “term order” works.

A little roundabout, but hope this helps.

Aside from the plugin WPMonkeyATL mentioned, you can sort them by renaming the slugs for each category so that they are in the alphabetical order you want, like:

A-Category-1
B-Category-2
etc…

Then set the sort order to slug.
