How to change the category section to be multi-select? (Category selection only allows 1 choice)

I cannot find this option in the settings.

When looking at the “Placeholders for customizing event pages” There isn’t even the one that is found in the “Single Event Page” -> #_CATEGORIES

Therefore, I am unable to customize the event builder since the Placeholder for multi-select isn’t there.

I think you need to hold the ctrl-key when selecting multiple categories.

You and I can do that, most other developers too have that mind… 🙂

But what about our end users 🙁

The guys behind this really are less so end user focused.

The event-editor categories meta box uses walk_category_dropdown_tree() and you need to use(hold) ctrl-key to multiple select (which is standard – https://www.w3schools.com/tags/att_select_multiple.asp)

But you can override or modify this using a template file at events-manager/templates/forms/event/categories-public.php

to use templates: http://wp-events-plugin.com/documentation/using-template-files/

eg. wp-content/themes/Your Theme/plugins/events-manager/forms/event/categories-public.php
