 * Firstly, my site: [http://wearecentralpark.com](http://wearecentralpark.com)
 * Problem is, i’m trying to add a new category. Now as you’ll see, each existing
   category is styled using css, and with code inside the index.php file. Since
   i have added this new category (which incidentally doesn’t have a link in the
   sidebar menu yet) WordPress recognizes theres a new category, but it doesn’t
   seem to call up the index.php file in order to style it, therefor rendering it
   as a “news category” which is green.
 * If i edit any post that has been posted within the new category, and say change
   it to a post in one of the existing categories, it renders it correctly, and
   recognizes the css that styles it.
 * I have deleted the index.php file in my theme folder, making no difference on
   my site. which is crazy weird, the site looks just like it does with the index.
   php in it. if I activate the default theme, then the icons show up in the posts(
   i’m refering to the little icons below the speech bubble, above the title for
   each post), these icons are image sources coming from my central park v4 theme
   index.php – crazy!!!
 * basically, i can add new categories and they show up in wordpress, but they arent
   being picked up in the index.php in my central park theme.
 * I think something is borked in the database, so im not sure what to do at this
   point… can anyone help?
 * thanks muchly
    lee.

 * Just guessing here (didn’t see any cat listings on your page: maybe you’re fiddlin’?)
   but I think it’s css. Likely there’s and unclosed div or even missing li that
   causing properties to NOT be applied.

 * its definitely something more than css, deleting the active themes index.php
   and having the site remain the same signals something more than that, in addition
   to the icons showing up when the default theme is activated, being that those
   icons are img sources in another themes index.php

 * @avtrujillo,
    I can see your blog just fine (FF) – so I don’t know what your “
   same problem” is.
