# Category post count inncorrect.

 * I have a default category set as “Promotions”
 * It currently has 10 posts but is displaying as 29.
 * Is there a way to “recount” the posts in a category?
 * What could be causing the problem? Any ideas?

 * With no URL or theme given, the only suggestion I can make is based on the use
   of wp_list_categories to display what you are seeing.

 * When I click on the “31” I see only 12 posts.
 * Promotions is the **default** category.
 * Are there hidden posts somewhere in the DB that its counting?
 * I tried to change the number directly through SQL, but it changes right back.
