    Hello,

I have events that have that also fall under one of two categories, open to public and closed to public. So for an event I category, open-to-public or category, closed to public under the ‘event categories’ selection in TECC. I would like the ability for the border color to denote the main category (closed or not) and the background color to denote the event’s category, in this case band, choir, orchestra, etc…

    Can this be done?

Thank you, I threw a small donation via PP.

Unfortunately CSS isn’t additive in this manner, so no. But if you create a category structure as follows it might work.

    Category:

    • Open to Public – Hidden
    • Closed to Public – Hidden
    • Band – Hidden
    • Band open – background color
    • Band closed – background and border

In this example, each event would have 3 categories assigned. One would have color and 2 would be hidden. In this way the user could still search for ‘Band’ and both closed and open events would display.

This in combination with Modern Tribe’s Filter Bar plugin would go a long way.

Thank you, I’ll try that. Maybe a 3.0 request? Could a checkbox be added in the settings to select options for allowing different sub-categories?

The way we use the calendar is that we post all events at our venue and would like to use the Legend Superpowers to allow the visitor to quickly see which events are open to the public so they don’t show up to rehearsals, tapings, etc… The border color seems like a logical way to denote that and use the L-SP function.

    Thanks again.

In the Settings you can check the box to show hidden categories in the legend. See if that can work for you.
