    Hello!

I have a page (http://lierbygda.no) where I use WordPress at the first page. But next fall we are going to have Norwegian Championship in orienteering. Therefore I have made an under page http://lierbygda.no/nm/. On that page I want the news from my “NM” category on the first page. WordPress is placed at /nyheter.

    Is this possible to do?

Warning – this suggested method will affect your entire permalink structure. Give carefull thought before implementing.

In your Dashboard click Options > Permalinks

click the radio button “Custom, specify below”
and in the input box type:

    /%post_id%

In the OPTIONAL “Category base” input box type

    /..

Delete or rename your existing html coded /nm page.

You may have to experiment with your category title / slug to get just the right URI, but this should put you on the right track.

Warning (again) – This will change your permalink structure and will break any existing links on other sites to yours for anything but the home page. This would include existing search engine links.
