Category mapping – Not saving properly

    Hello im trying to fix an issue in my feed.
    My category is dog food on my website, and when i checked the feed categry mapping, it was showing as cat food.
    “3367 – Animals & Pet Supplies > Pet Supplies > Cat Supplies > Cat Food”

    Here is an example:
    Your category (Number of products) Google Shopping category
    Dog food Cat food

    When i manually set the google shopping category to the correct dog food called:
    “3530 – Animals & Pet Supplies > Pet Supplies > Dog Supplies > Dog Food”
    and hit save, it saves but when i go back to check the category mapping its back to cat food again.

    Whats going on here?
    To add, i changed 90% of them with great success and they saved just fine.
    But 10% of these do not save correctly. I have no clue as to how to fix this.
    Please help.

    Hi eirikfjell,

    Try mapping a bit “slower”. The mapping feature is AJAX based and depends on the speed of your server/website at the moment you are creating the category mappings.

    The mappings are already saved in the back-end even before you hit the save button. You might map too fast so it’s not able to save the mapping before you create the next mapping.

    Hello Eva,
    This did not work, my servers have good speed so i dont think this is the issue.
    But since you suggested it i went and waited 10 minutes for each step of this attempt to fix the last single category. But it did not work.
    Its like its being overrided by something. I checked my category google info outside of this plugin on my site. And it was no different from the others that worked.

    So im now really confused as of what is the issue.

    Hello Support

    Under each feed settings, there is a check box for include product variations.

    Can someone explain what this is?

    I sell T-Shirts with three different sizes (S, M, L)
    I suppose the check box needs to be checked. Under what circumstances would someone want to uncheck “Include product variations” ?
