Try a fresh copy of the theme; maybe it didn’t download all the way. Category and Archive links work OK for me with the theme on my test server.
Also, looks like you’re on free hosting, which might be giving you trouble with permalinks, but not just some of them….
did you/the theme mess with the permalinks? Try Settings -> Permalinks, maybe it got rid of the neccesary ‘/’ to start the directory.
SO SORRY for the late post. I had school and other stuff i was doing. I will try those out and see what happens. Thanx for the help.
I have noticed that when i download themes there are two ways from the wordpress site. one link from the preview flash screen and the other from the main screen for the theme.
Ok i went to settings > permalinks and noticed it was set to custom with /blog so i changed it to /%category%/%postname%/ which seemed to work.
What im trying to do is make this as user friendly as possible. I noticed on the pro version, there blog would display only a few sentences for each post. then you click on the title and it takes you to the full post. Is that a theme option or a actual wordpress option?? Under settings and readings i checked the summery button for how i want article feeds to be displayed but that didnt do it..
thanx guys

The Settings/Readings>> Summary/Full Text option is for feeds, not posts.

That’s a feature of the Pro version that enables the WordPress difference between the_content and the_excerpt Customizing the Read More « WordPress Codex that is not a built in WP option.
Songdogtech, Thanx for the info. I am reading the provided link.
