Hi there, I guess this message is going out to the Category Grid View Gallery Plugin creator, Anshul Sharma. (i would post it on http://www.evilgenius.anshulsharma.in/cgview/#comments – but it seems to be down).
Firstly, thank you so much for your work on the plugin, it really is great, but there is a problem with it using timthumb…
I notice in a thread from about a year ago that Anshul you said: “Due to increasing queries of timthumb issues, i plan to add an option of using wordpress core resizing for thumnails as an alternative to timthumb.”
This would be SO great! Timthumb causes *alot* of problems. DId you ever make any progress with this? If it is of any help, a colleague of mine (who is much more technically proficient than me!) modified the plugin to utilise static images rather than timthumb
generated images when we had problems with the plugin last August. Of course, we would be very happy to share the work done on it if this might be helpful.
Is there anyone else who has stumbled across both this thread and problem with timthumb that might want this timthumb-less functionality too? or indeed who might be able to help develop it?
Its a really really really great plugin and I would love to keep using it! I think this would make it even better.
