Category Grid View Gallery Conflicting with Theme JS | WordPress.org

I am using Newspapartimes Theme and recently installed CATEGORY GRID VIEW GALLERY Plugin. The plugin does what it supposed to but its also conflicting with what the Theme developer called JS code, this stopped the image slide on the top right corner of my website from working.
Please I need help to resolve this issue. I can add /subtract codes but can’t write. Help Please.

I’ve seen other posts concerning JS conflicts between the plugin and the theme. I am experiencing one myself, using Tabula Rosa. The JS that runs the menu works only if there IS a gallery on the page.

So, what is the best strategy for troubleshooting JS conflicts, seeing as I’m a hacker not a programmer?
