Sorry, forgot to include the debug info:
The script from “https://www.staging5.sandystudio.co.uk/wp-content/plugins/ultimate-product-catalogue/js/catalogue-style-.js?ver=5.2.1” was loaded even though its MIME type (“text/html”) is not a valid JavaScript MIME type.

Hi @aahkendall,
Could you double check that all the items in your catalog belong to a category?
Also you are using a “Still Life” category with no items belonging to it, could you assign an item to it and see if the issue still exists?
If you wish to hide the sidebar, you can using the sidebar=‘No’ attribute in the shortcode, as mentioned in the FAQs.

Hi @etoilewebdesign,
I’ve just started assigning products to categories, so there are plenty of items that are unassigned.
If you are suggesting that it should sort itself out when they are all assigned, then that’s fine, if not ideal (I wanted to test everything before putting to much time in).
On the other hand, I wasn’t aware of the attribute, mainly because I just used setup wizard to create the page, but I see that is an option in the Gutenberg block, so have hidden the sidebar there. Apologies for not reading (all) the FAQs.
So thanks for the explanation – and for pointing out the option I wasn’t aware of. I’ll confirm once all the products are assigned that the filtering works.
Alright, sounds good! Thank you
I am having this same problem, and I can easily reproduce the bug repeatedly:
– I have multiple categories and tags, and all “products” belong to a category.
– When the product catalog page first loads, clicking on any category or tag will result in no results returned.
– Clicking on “Clear All” will refresh the page, and from that point forward all filtering works.
Filtering has never worked correctly, but changing the tag search option from AND to OR seems to have gotten us to this point, but filtering does not work initially on the page.
Hi @charrold303,
Could you go to the Options in the plugin admin, go to the Labelling area and put a value in for the “Search Placeholder Label” field? Did it make a difference?
Yes! that fixed it – thanks so much!
Hi,
I have similar problem. I am testing the plugin for my stagging site.
I have only one catalouge, 1 category and 13 sub categories.
– When the product catalog page first loads, clicking on any category or tag will result in no results returned.
– Clicking on “Clear All” will refresh the page, and from that point forward all filtering works.

Hi @sumitkmondal,
Have you already tried out the solutions mentioned above?
Hey @etoilewebdesign,
i know this thread is some months old, but i got the same kind of problem with your plugin on my website.
I already did all the steps you guys mentioned above, but none of your solutions worked for me.
Is there another reason why this could not work properly?
Thanks in advance
Hi @holzdekoost ,
In case there is a conflict with another plugin, could you send us your URL?
Hello @holzdekoost,
I believe your issue is due to the price slider. You have products with prices containing non-numeric characters, e.g. 8 und 10. If you want to use the price slider, you will need to update all your products by providing them prices containing only numeric characters. Alternatively, you can just remove the price slider from the siderbar (Options > Basic > Catalog Page Functionality > Disable Allow Price Filtering)
Hey @etoilewebdesign its me again,
just disabled the slider recently, but the plugin doesnt work how it should, another guess whats the problem? 🙁
