Category Filter default on admin screen

    On the admin pages for Post, Custom Post Types, etc, the Category filter defaults to the first allowed category and not “View All Categories”.

    This causes a problem when I’m trying to search through posts using the Search Box on the upper-right. I have to change the category drop-down to “View All Categories” and then search.

    I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this and maybe if there is a work-around?
