    Hi @simonemontrucchio,

    It is most likely the WordPress cron job runs as Visitor and it simply cannot allocate protected category because it is filtered out.

    This is very interesting issue. Can you please explain how do you setup feed?

    Regards,

    What do you mean?
    I thought feed generation is core WordPress feature.

    @simonemontrucchio,

    Think this way. WordPress or other custom script, periodically runs a scan to find out if there are any new posts. It is like you go on the website and manually scroll on the blog list page for new posts. So basically whatever automatically scans for new posts, has visitors privileges. It cannot impersonate any user.

    That is why if you restricted access for specific category for visitors, then there is no way that the scan will pick up restricted posts. What you can do is simply LIMIT access to posts in specific category. Do not chech LIST and READ. With LIMIT, you can specify teaser message that would say something like “You would have to be logged in to see this post…”. This way the feed should pick up new posts.

    Regards,
    Vasyl
