The dot not showing is intentional, instead we display the category colors.
Your mobile view seems to also give a background color to the whole daty for any day with an event. This will obscure any like category colors.
Is there a way to revert to the dot?
Thanks for the quick response.
I believe the code is here, https://github.com/afragen/the-events-calendar-category-colors/blob/develop/views/category.css.php#L25-L27
If you comment that out I believe the dot should show. You will have to do this at each plugin update as your changes will be overwritten. You might be able to add similar CSS with opposing function in a tribe-events.css file to override more permanently. You’ll have to test this.
That does make the dot show, but also leaves the event name intact.

Thanks again for your quick help on this.
So you can see why that code is present. If you want I’m sure you could go through the generated CSS and remove all the parts specific to mobile, but you might not see colors on mobile devices.
Perhaps I should ask why you wish to see the dot? It is simply an indicator of an event on that day. With colors displaying you have that indicator.
We’ve gotten feedback from our users that the colors on mobile were confusing and they didn’t know where to click. I think the dot simplifies while retaining the colors in the event details (shown on click).
It doesn’t matter where they click, in mobile it just selects the day. The links and more coloring is below the mini-calendar for events of a given day.
You could try removing that whole section, https://github.com/afragen/the-events-calendar-category-colors/blob/develop/views/category.css.php#L23-L32
