  • I’m so sorry if this has been asked before but I did a search and couldn’t find anything that I could make sense of.
I am using WordPress for my fanfiction archive. I have different categories of stories – Harry Potter, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, X-Files, etc. and I currently have each section linked on my menu as /wp/archive/category/harry-potter/ which then displays all of the entries in that category.
What I would REALLY like to do would be to click on that link and instead of seeing the entries in all of their glory, see a list like this:

There are 17 stories archived under this category. To view a story, click the link.
    – Story Title 1
    – Story Title 2
    – Story Title 3
… etc. (With each story title being the permalink to the entry.)

The only archive hacks I’ve found display things relating to date, and I don’t want to have any reference to dates on my pages as there are some stories I don’t have dates for.
Does anyone know of a good way to achieve this effect?

  • I’m looking for something similar, but I could deal with the date (in fact, I’d want it) – where did you find that hack?
