# Category approval

 * Ok Im not sure Im in the right area for this but here goes. I have created two
   categories on [http://www.smartbizinfo.com](http://www.smartbizinfo.com) and 
   they dont show up. I read somewhere that you had to have a post attached to them
   for them to show on the right under categories. So i put in two seperate test
   posts. They are still not showing.
 * The categories themselves still come up as pending and Im sure this is the problem.
   However I can not seem for the life of me to find anyway to approve them or any
   documentation to show me how. Im probably being blind but I just spent the last
   two hours looking.
 * Any help would be appreaciated!

 * I think it’s your posts that are pending. Make sure that both test posts are 
   published.

 * Grrr LOL you are right but I cant find the publish button. On the left all I 
   have is save draft and preview.

 * Ok If I do a quick edit I find the drop down box for published. If I save it 
   that way it works. I have to show someone else how to do this so the less steps
   the better LOL. But if this is how Im supposed to be doing this ok LOL

 * The Publish button should be visible at the bottom of the Publish Tab in the 
   Edit Post page. If it’s not visible, you might want to try deactivating **all**
   of your plugins to see if that helps. You could have a problem plugin somewhere.
