Category and Author A-Z Page lists

    Hi there,
    I’ve spent the last couple of hours trying to find plugins or modifications that would allow me to create 2 new pages for the purpose of displaying a list of Categories and Authors in a managable format.

    For example, I’ve seen a few plugins that will show all categories on a page – but when you have hundreds of categories, this isn’t very readable for the user.

    What I’m looking for is the same functionality but instead of it all being displayed on one page, having some sort of pagination to allow for each letter for the alphabet. For example, all 26 letters may be at the top of the page.. and once clicked, it will take you to a list of all of the categories under that letter.

    And the same for authors.

    Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions with this? Maybe I’ve just been looking in the wrong places, but I’m quite surprised that I’ve been unable to find anything on this.

    Sounds like it wouldn’t be just a plugin, but what you would need are custom post types and some deep custom programming to accomplish that. Sounds very doable, just not out of the box [or a plugin].

    Thanks Jonathan for your feedback. Any suggestions as to where I could find developers who might be able to make something like this?
