I recently installed the Category Access plugin by Coppit. Everything went smooth with the install and the plugin seems to be blocking the post. However, with the Minimalistic1.5-1.0 template, there are two sections that still show on the main blog page for a restricted category. These two sections are the time stamp and author name which normal appears on top of a post. Additionally, the posted in and comment link that normal appear at the bottom of the post still show.
The code for these two sections from the main index page are as follows;
‘<small><img src=”<?php bloginfo(‘stylesheet_directory’); ?>/images/timeicon.gif” alt=”” /> <?php the_time(‘F jS, Y’) ?> by <img src=”<?php bloginfo(‘stylesheet_directory’); ?>/images/author.gif” alt=”” /> <?php the_author() ?> </small>’
“<p class=”info”>Posted in <?php the_category(‘, ‘) ?> | <?php edit_post_link(‘Edit’,”,’|‘); ?> <img src=”<?php bloginfo(‘stylesheet_directory’); ?>/images/comments.gif” alt=”” /> <?php comments_popup_link(‘No Comments »’, ‘1 Comment »’, ‘% Comments »’); ?></p>”
Both of the above code sections are with in the <div class=”post> tag. When I click on the link provided in the posted in section, I got to the category page and only see the output of the the sections of code above.
I would really like to keep the time stamp for my posts but I would like it to be invisible for the categories that are restricted.
Can anyone help me?
