categorizing blog posts to post on different pages in blog

I’m not understanding the concept of WP Pages.
From what I’ve read I should be able to write a blog post, place it in a category and have that category correlate with one of my WP Pages.

For the life of me I can’t figure this out.

My blog is davidisham.net

I have a Home page and an iPhoneography page. I have a post with a picture of my dog that I put in a category called Home. I’ve tried several methods for synching the category to the page but nothing has worked.

I do not write or understand code.

Please provide a detailed simplified answer to my question.

I’m not even sure that what I’m trying to do is possible. It just doesn’t make sense for WP to give me the opportunity to create multiple pages but not allow me to make blog posts to them.
