• I’m trying to setup structure for a review site. I know how to create categories, sub categories and tags and how to build nested menus that show the content at different levels of the category hierarchy. I also know that technically, a category cannot have more than one parent!

However, this is what I’m trying to do.

Reviews are of two types of places – say Hotels and Pub and are split by region.

So the types apply to all or at least quite a few of the regions, as follows:

    Reviews
    Hotels
    – Bedford
    – Buckinghamshire
    – Yorkshire
    – etc

    Pubs
    – Bedford
    – Buckinghamshire
    – Yorkshire
    – etc

One thought is to use two tags or perhaps a custom meta data field for Hotel/ Pub, but the menu structure seems to be based on Categories only.

Alistair Sawday is a great site and they have managed it with their Areas and then Accommodation type and you can search by either.

Any pointers would be warmly welcomed.

    Thanks,

    Chris.
