    Dear,
I contact you about the management of my WordPress Back Office that we have been using for several years now for our blog: http://www.caramaps.com/blog

I am actually facing some issues about my blog categories that appear in the top menu: news, destinations, tips, community, testimonies, events.
As the blog is multilingual, I would liked to “assimilate” the categories when we switch the language. For example: When you are on the news page in French it had to become the news page in English. This one is already correct. And, this is currently the case for some categories. However, others have by default link to an other and have nothing to do. When I’m in the Back Office Articles> Categories I can not change this criteria. Even when I change it on the flags, nothing happens!

Thank you for telling me what to do or see directly with you and make the change internally.
I wish you a great day, best regards.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Do you have a caching plug-in? Can you empty them and have another look?
Maybe that will fix the problem dat you cant see the changes.
If everything with the flags is changed, it should work. What plugin do you use for that?

    Hi Harmaddeo,

Thank your for your quick response.

Honestly, I do not know if I have a caching plug-in… How can I verify it?
Concerning translations, we have Lingotek translation extension. But I do not know if WordPress is using it for categories. Some years ago, we created different categories for each languages. And then, I do not know hoy some of them are related (with good and bad ones) and other not… I am afraid of deleted all categories because all articles are in one classification.
Tank you a lot, best regards.

When you are in what you call the ‘Back Office’. Is there an option in the menu called plugins? When you take a look there, maybe you can find a plugin with ‘cache’ in the description. Maybe there is a plugin called W3 total cache, super cache, fastest cache Autoptimize, or something related.
If you know what plugin is used for that, maybe you can Google how to delete / empty the cache of ….. plugin. Hope this will help you ferther.

    Good luck!

    Hi,

In the plugins, there is only one called “WP Super Cache”. But apparently, was not activated… I will have a look on Google, thanks for your help!

    Optimizing Matters

quick clarification; Autoptimize does not do page caching (yet), only JS/ CSS/ HTML/ image optimization 🙂

    Agree with @optimizingmatters
What i meant was a plugin like above examples.
Maybe then we get a step ferther.
