If I am understanding you correctly, you want to list the product category in your menu bar? If so, it is already built in to the native WordPress Nav Menu. Simply go to appearance->menus and drag the product category in your main menu. This is assuming your theme supports menu system. Also, if you don’t see the product category right away, it could be hidden. If that is the case, go to screen options and check the box for it.

well Im new to wordpress theme creation but I have had much success with OpenCart and Magento I thought about switching to all WordPress for its better usage of tools. I was debating your framework for theme design but I testing on a few WordPress themes I am making with the stock theme. It would be integrated with other plugins but mostly an e-store and Im trying to duplicate exactly what was created. That is why I asked about your framework VS the plugin and if I am allowed to create/modify the menu to contain all product categories.

Is there a way to add the categories as sub children?

I have put the parent (shop) in the main navigation.
When selected, this page displays all the categories.

I want to be able to display the categories under the main navigation in a sub navigation bar.

    Hope someone can help

    Thanks

This is a question for royho. When i go to appearance>menus to add product categories i dont see the product categories just the post categories. I tried the screen options thing but it wasn’t there either. Im trying to add specific product categories to the menu. How do i add product categories to the menu bar?The website id fabsis.Com. Thanks for the help.

This was very helpful – especially the little note about “screen options” – I am not too familiar with WordPress and desperate to get to grips with it so I can get my printing and giclée prints business off the ground – thanks for your help!
