In order to serve guests on a recurring manner by helping their episode be more findable (rather than ‘one and done’), I’d like to create a “Topics” page for podcast episodes that are grouped based on specific topics (using Categories I suppose). Then, I’d like to consider using a jQuery category filter like Quicksand Post Filter jQuery Plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/quicksand-jquery-post-filter/) to show/hide relevant episodes.

I’m wondering if this could be accomplished if there was the ability to add categories to each episode?

Make sense? Thanks in advance (didn’t find anything like this on the existing tickets). Thanks also for the great plugin!

While this plugin doesn’t have categories, it does have a taxonomy called ‘Series’ – you can use that for the topics that you are talking about. I can’t speak for that Quicksand plugin, but the series are setup like regular WordPress custom taxonomies, so if it works with other custom taxonomies then it will work with this plugin’s series.

    Does that help?

Thanks Hugh, I haven’t played around with Series yet. Was trying to understand it more. I’ll dive in.

    Thanks again!
