Support » Plugin: Events Manager » Categories not showing up

I have posted several Upcoming Elections using the Events Manager on my site at http://globalmemo.org. However on each inidividual event page, the categories are not appearing. Each has one or more categories as well as tags. I have looked through the various settings pages and confirmed the categories are turned on, but I don’t see any feature where they might be turned off or otherwise caused not to appear.

    Any help appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Tony

    Hi Tony,

If you go to Events > Settings > Formatting > Events and scroll down to Single Event Page, do you see the tag #_CATEGORIES somewhere in that box?

No, not in that box. But what is there appears beneath the byline as part of the actual text for the event. Would the category call go there?

Yes, basically you need to add #_CATEGORIES where you want the category listing to be.

Adding it there however will not add it to the byline. It will appear in the text of the post content. How do I get it to appear in the byline, where it belongs?

sorry, can I know what do you mean by ‘byline’? also, do you want it on single events page or in the events widgets?

Byline = Title, author, date, etc., that is the header above the content.

    See for example, http://globalmemo.org/events/committee-on-migrant-workers/

maybe your theme doesn’t support Custom Taxonomy? e.g. try to preview using twentytwelve theme
