Categories Not Showing

I haven’t used wordpress in a long time so not sure on settings.

I created Categories and then created a post in that category. However the Category is not on the main page even after saved.

I am able to create menus and pages, but the process seems different with Categories and Post which I am lost at solving, watched a couple videos but so far have not found how to make them show up.
