# Categories not protected

 * Hello,
 * I try protected all the categories, follow this steps:
    1. Select all my categories
   and then updated the ‘General Protection’. 2. Choose a membership-level, select
   all the categories and updated.
 * Testing in the frontend of my site, but the categories are showing up and when
   i choose a category then, listed all te content from this category.
 * How can i protect the categories?

 * Yes i follow these steps, but i find a solution.
 * I made a new template: **category.php** and added some php-code that i find on
   this webpage:
