Categories not appearing in back end. NEED HELP!!!!

I have added a category, which doesn’t show up under the “page attributes” section when trying to edit a page.

I have double checked and when I search for the category it does show up. It just doesn’t show up when editing a page in the backend.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
