# Categories not adding

 * I am not sure I am in the correct forum, my apologies if not. I have been attempting
   to add new categories to my shop page. I have added them in from the dashboard,
   going to “products”, then “Categories”, then “Add New Category”. I have added
   several categories, including two parent categories with the other categories
   underneath those parent ones, however the only category that actually shows up
   on my shop page is the automatically generated “Uncategorised” category. Is there
   something wrong with the theme I am using, or WordPress, or am I doing it all
   wrong?

    WooCommerce can filter empty 
   categories

 * Hi. I have now, and yes! They are appearing… Thank you! However, I have added
   parent categories and sub-categories within the parent categories and only the
   parent categories show up on my shop page. When I click on a parent category 
   it opens and only reveals the products – it doesn’t reveal the sub categories(
   which I have put products into). Do you have any idea how I sort that out? Thanks.
