    If you go to the category links on our website, it shows that there is nothing there, yet we have many courses/workshops at the moment as well as a few dozen products. We synced our items from square yesterday and it seems to have removed the categories that are still in Square but now not in WooCommerce. We have done further syncs since then, but to no avail.
    All of our plugins/themes/WP are up to date and the system status is below. Thank you.

    Thanks for the prompt message. I see that there was an update today, but it doesn’t seem to have fixed anything. I’m currently importing everything again, but the screen is different and it says:

    Your products are being imported in the background! This may take some time to complete.

    But unlike before, it just sits there and it’s hard to know when it has finished. Is this bug fixed now? I was hesitant to “roll back” as I couldn’t find a good description and I don’t want to screw things up worse. Thank you.

    If I understand you correctly, you’re still facing the issue with the latest version of Square for WooCommerce?

    In this case, I would recommend rolling back to version 4.6.2 and check if this would help solve the current issue you’re experiencing as we await on an update from our developers.

    You can use the WPRollback plugin to rollback the Square plugin to version 4.6.2.

    But it was WooCommerce that I had just updated to 9.1.0. You are suggesting I revert to an earlier version of WooCommerce Square. Should I rollback to a previous version of WooCommerce as well? It still doesn’t seem to have solved the issues of my uncategorized items.

    yes, I have the square plugin as version 4.6.2 and the WooCommerce plugin as 9.1.0.

    Luckily we can link to individual items, but the shopping cart and the menu item of categories doesn’t work at the moment.

    Yes, I can do that, but how can I upload that recording here? Do I have to load it onto the website with a link? Sorry, not a fan of gutenburg.

    I could always find the individual products, but the shopping cart and the menu which shows categories stopped working. So rolling back hasn’t actually fixed anything that I can tell. All of my products are synced through square. Just two categories.

    Please note that the category bug with Square was not solved yet, it is still in progress.

    The plugin that was updated this week was, as you mentioned WooCommerce, and the bug is with the Square plugin. As you can see here, it is still open.

    As I understand, you are now facing a different issue, correct?

    I can’t see any work on this, and it’s been a few weeks. Does anyone know if WooCommerce or Square are working on why the categories are stripped when imported from Square? It’s not helping our website or sales much.

    This is the limitation of the plugin. Nevertheless, when syncing/importing products from Square to WooCommerce, if a product belongs to multiple categories or sub-categories, only the first category assigned to it will be imported/synced.
