Categories in the RSS2 feed

    I’ve been using the RSS2 feed that WordPress outputs to make a sort of “What’s happening” section on the front page of my site. Utilizing MagpieRSS, it’s working pretty well. The only problem I have, and it’s rather negligible, is that the categories in the feed run together: IE, I have a category of Tech and a category of Web Standards, and say a post is cross-listed in both. On my main page, it shows up as: TechWeb Standards. How would I go about altering the RSS feed to perhaps put a space between the categories, or perhaps even a space and comma?

    Me too I’d like to include a sort of ‘what’s happening’ corner in index.php. I’m using 1.5 and I think it’s possible with RSS. But browsing the wordpress support forums I see that there’s no help in that case if you don’t use permalinks.

    So is there anyone who has a solution for this one if I don’t use permalinks.
