categories bug – keep un-ticking itself!

    hi.

    A bug has fallen my blog ill this morning.
    I make a new post and whenever I tick a category for the post to be put into, after it saves the category box is unticked. The post is CORRECTLY inserted into the proper category, but as it is unticked if I make an edit the post will disappear from the category.

    The same is true for Quick Edit from the main posts menu.

    So my posts are okay and going into the correct category, but I have to retick the appropriate category with any update of a previous post. Any help?

    Nevermind, clearly the problem was my webhost.

    I just got some ‘database connection error’ then waited, refreshed and went back to doing blog maintenance. A few other hiccups clearly on the server end happened and now the un-ticking issue has completely disappeared.

    I didn’t suspect my webhost because they’re generally well-revered and didn’t send any email informing me of maintenance today. However I might have to consider moving because I’ve had a few too many of these hiccups lately. So, if you’re listening, MediaTemple, quit it!
